The Williams family welcome you to the Rose and Crown and the Beautiful Herriot countryside. 

The Rose and Crown is situated on the main street in one of north Yorkshires most sought after villages, Sutton on the Forest. It is 9 miles North of York on the B1363 road to Helmsley and the Howardian Hills. Originally a public house, the Rose and Crown has focused on the restaurant side of the business for many years; currently holding the Michelin Gourmand Bib and an AA Rosette Award for culinary Excellence. In 2006 the Rose and Crown was a finalist in the Yorkshire Life Dining Pub Awards, the only nomination in North Yorkshire. The kitchen team led by head chef Daniel Jackson prides themselves on using only the freshest local ingredients which are delivered daily to ensure the highest possible standards. 

The Rose and Crown is famed for it’s fish and seafood dishes but also caters for other tastes. This friendly, relaxed family owned eatery now boasts an extensive new conservatory leading to a newly developed al fresco dining area complemented by tropically inspired thatched gazebos, providing a unique yet tranquil experience.
